What is Reconsidered Goods all about?

The short version is that we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that takes donated materials from manufacturers and individuals, helps divert them from landfills, and puts them into the hands of artists, makers, teachers, children, and other reuse advocates to create something new.

OUR MISSION

To promote environmental awareness, community engagement, and creative expression through reuse, education, and the arts.

OUR VISION

We imagine a world where nothing is used once nor thrown away but instead reused again and again.

If you have items or materials that you know have some life left in them or if you work at a company that has materials that are unused or could be used creatively, then get in touch with us about making a donation. View our list of items we accept. Your donations can be tax deductible. Conversely, if you are looking for unique items and materials, we have lots from which to choose. We also accept financial contributions that support our educational program and outreach efforts.

What we believe

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all feel respected and valued regardless of race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or identity, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, national origin, citizenship status, or religion. We follow Community Centric Fundraising principles that are grounded in equity and social justice, prioritize our community, and encourage mutual support between nonprofits.
