Recycling Resources
Reconsidered Goods hosts glass recycling bins in partnership with the City of Greensboro. Blue bins are located towards the back of our building near our donation dock.
Glass bottles and jars should be empty, clean, and dry. Lids, caps, and corks cannot be recycled with the glass and should be put in the trash. Labels can be left on the bottles and jars.
All glass bottles and jars dropped-off will be recycled into new bottles and jars in North Carolina.
These glass items cannot be recycled and should be placed in the trash:
-
windows
-
mirrors
-
ceramics
-
plates and glassware
-
baking dishes
-
picture frames and glass
Styrofoam
Reconsidered Goods is a hub location for styrofoam recycling. See our FOAM TRAILER located next to our glass recycling bins.
Foam must be clean, dry, and free of labels and tape. Foam packing peanuts are not accepted.
Foam dropped off at this location will be made into picture frames and molding in New Jersey. Proceeds from the sale of foam will go back to support Tiny House Community Development to reduce homelessness in the Triad.
This recycling program was made possible by the Foodservice Packaging Institute's Foam Recycling Coalition, Greensboro Beautiful, Environmental Stewardship Greensboro, Emerging Ecology, FoamCycle, and private donations.
